Commercial
redwood only grows from Southern Oregon to Monterey County
in Northern California. It is primarily found along the
coast were it enjoys the fog and damp climates.
Redwood heartwood has natural decay and insect resistance
qualities not found in other woods. Redwood's dynamic combination
of beauty, stability, durability and finish ranks at the
top of the list of architectural woods.
Among homeowners and professionals redwood is the first
choice for landscape projects because it looks better and
lasts longer. Redwood's natural stability helps decks and
outdoor funiture resist checking, warping and splitting.
No wood surpasses redwood in its ability to take and hold
finishes. Because it contains little or no pitch or resins
and has a unique open cellular structure.
Old growth redwoods are preserved in more than 350,000 acres
of parks and reserves which we feel is an important legacy
to future generations.
To
make our contribution to that future and still provide this
wonderful material for your use and enjoyment we make a
concerted effort to use RECYCLED redwood and douglas fir
in our designs. This material which was used extensively
in this region at the turn of the century (1900) has all
the beautiful characteristics of old growth materials.
It is our committment to continue our RECYCLING efforts
and find this material in the old barns, trestles, tanks
and buildings we are called upon to dismantle. We know you
will support our efforts through your selection of our products.
